Marina’s journey in the music equipment industry began in 2003, when she first met Marcelo after hiring him for a position at a café called The French Loaf. What began as a simple workplace connection quickly grew into a lifelong friendship, one that has shaped both of their careers ever since.
Career and Family
A few years later, Marina and Marcelo’s paths crossed again at a big-box music retailer, where Marina spent over a decade refining her skills in inventory management, operations, and financial oversight. It was also there that Marina met her husband of 20 years, a guitarist who shares a deep love of music. Together, they have built a wonderful family with four children, three boys and one girl. Their oldest son is a proud Navy veteran, and their second oldest is currently enlisted, continuing the family’s tradition of service.
Business Communication Background
A lifelong Tucsonan, Marina also holds a degree in Business Communications, which has strengthened her ability to support both customers and the operational needs of a growing business. Although Marina does not play an instrument herself, her experience in music retail sparked a genuine passion for the organizational and logistical side of the industry. She found real fulfillment in ensuring musicians had what they needed to perform at their best.
Joining Stagewerks Team
As Marcelo’s business grew, he brought Marina on board to support Stagewerks behind the scenes. It was both a pleasure and an honor for Marina to be asked. Managing inventory, maintaining structure, and helping support a vibrant community of musicians felt like a natural extension of everything she had learned over the years.
